My name is Mr. Fosco, and I am one of the physical education teachers at Chute Middle School. I am the school department chair, lead Adventure Education teacher, and intramural coordinator. I am currently the head Track & Field coach and assistant Cross Country coach. In addition, I assist Mr. McHolland with the coordination of that athletics program. I’m in my 14th year as part of the Chute Family. I truly love my job and even more for being at Chute. I graduated from Dominican University with a degree in history, then North Park University with my endorsement in Physical Education. I recently completed my master's in school counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. I come from a family of educators with my parents, godmother, and cousin all in the profession, having two with extensive adventure education backgrounds.
My philosophy of Physical Education is a combination of traditional methods and experimental methods. I strive to impact the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. In addition to a healthy lifestyle, I stress two important values in my adventure education unit: facing challenges and appreciation for the outdoors. Finally, I require each child to use our five finger contract of safety, responsibility, respect, commitment, and fun to work together to achieve success. My goal is to make sure each and every one of your children has a fantastic physical education experience during their time at Chute. The physical, social, and emotional life-skills learned in physical education are essential for their lifelong success in the classroom and in life. I update my grades weekly. You can access their grades at any time on their SISK12 account. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to drop an email to say hello, my contact information is provided below.
